What a superb display by Matt Fitzpatrick: 17 out of 18 greens is otherworldly stuff at a U.S. Open.
Weirdly, he is praised for his putting prowess; but that was no better than average today, even though he holed a few beauties to make up for the short ones that he missed. The approach from the trap on the 72nd was Seve-esque!
I love to see European golfers do well in major championships, and it's always a bonus when it's an Englishman that takes the title.
