I knew as soon as Jonny walked out we were gonna win. He had that look and it was gonna be up to him....I said as much to Mr Swan.....Absolutely delighted for England, a great test match and a great victory and series win. But I’m especially delighted for Jonny B, an innings like that is what makes cricket such an exciting game
I don’t know him personally but always had a bit of an affinity with Jonny as his dad lived down the road from us when I lived in Birkenshaw as a young lad and then his mum Janet lived nearby when we moved to East Bierley when I was 11 years old..
