I hate this call.
Yes, by the letter of the law, it is probably correct.
But there is wriggle room. If the defender doesn’t handle that ball, it is not going in. It is going to hit him in head or chest. He was actually trying to make himself smaller at the time.
Regardless, this call should have never been made. These two teams spent money and time to get a game to help prepare for the Euros.
