It’s far more likely that you will give COVID to the cat than vice versa. The chances of the cat infecting you are lower than the chances of Blues winning the Championship this season. So I wouldn’t worry about it.
I only know of one cat in the UK which has tested positive for COVID. Apparently, a Blue Persian that caught it off its low life DVB owner. Thankfully, the cat survived. Sadly, the owner made a quick recovery.
