‘Accrington could have extended their advantage but for the heroics of on-loan Birmingham goalkeeper David Stockdale.
He did superbly well to keep out a curling effort from Sam Finley, pushed away a Billy Kee strike and, when the Reds did beat him on the stroke of half-time, Kee's shot hit the underside of the crossbar and bounced into Stockdale's arms.’
