More Medals from Fairfax Challenge! Also, Return To Classes.

More congrats to Isabella and Olivia during the second day of of the Fairfax Challenge at Fredericksburg, VA.  Isabella and Olivia both fenced in the Y14 Women’s Foil event.  This was Olivia’s first Y14 Regional Event.

Both Isabella and Olivia went 4 wins and 1 loss in their pools.  Isabella seeded 6th after pools, and Olivia seeded 7th after pools.  Olivia had a bye in the first round, in the second round, Olivia received a red card at 13-13, but rallied to win 15-14.  Olivia lost her next round against the 2nd seed and eventual winner.

Isabella also had a bye in the first round, won her second round, then upset the 3rd seed in the third round, winning 15-9, which also moved her up in the final placement.  Isabella also faced the 2nd seed and eventual winner in the semifinal round.

Isabella finished and medaled in a tie for 3rd place.  Olivia also moved up and medaled in 6th place.  Congrts to both fencers!

Classes Back To Normal!
Classes are bakc to normal this coming week.  We hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years break.

We have some local, Pisacafe, and Homeschool events coming up, I’ll cover those in another post/e-mail.  We also have some fencers getting ready for Junior Oympics in January.

We look forward to seeing everyone again after a great turnout for open fencing on Saturday, our first fencing session of the year!  Welcome to 2026!
