White Horse Coffee Criteriums  Points Series– Technical Regulations 30/09/25

Friday Night Criteriums races are held weekly at Waratah Park, Sutherland starting on Friday 10th October 2025 through to Friday 19th December and resume in the new year from 16th January 2026 to Friday 27th March 2026

We will be holding the 8 round  White Horse Coffee Criterium  series starting on Friday 17th October as a Pointscore over 8 consecutive weeks (which may be extended if cancelled by poor weather).              

NOTE: Riders must compete in at least 5 of the 8 race series to be eligible for the Series Prizemoney

Every Friday Evening from;-

Series 1 –  October 17th

6 PM D grade (& C Grade Women) 20 mins Track2
6 PM C grade  (& B Grade Women) 20 mins Track 2 + 2 laps track 3

6.30 PM B grade (& A grade Women) @ 30mins Track 3
6.30 PM A Grade  @ 40Mins Track 3

How to score Points

Points awarded – 1 point to start, 1st place- 5 points, 2nd place- 3 points, 3rd place- 2 points, 4th place- 1 point , Primes 1 Point                 

Weekly Prizes                                                                                                                                                  

White Horse and Endeavour Cycles have generously provided weekly prizes for those unable to attend the full series.

Note: Weekly prizes are awarded based on the number of riders competing in the grade:

5 riders or fewer – 1st place only

6 to 12 riders – 1st & 2nd Place

13 or more riders – 1st, 2nd & 3rd place

D Grade prizemoney will be the usual sweepstake.

Presentation of Series Placegetters                                                                                                                                                                                                        

The top 3 placegetters in Men’s and Women’s  A , B and C grades plus the highest SSCC rider in each grade if not in the top 3, will be at the end of each series.

If there is a tie on points at the culmination of the Series then the rider with the most number of wins or highest finishes over the series will be deemed the winner

A grade 1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $200

B grade 1st $350, 2nd $250, 3rd $150

C grade 1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $140                                                                                                                                                                                   

The highest SSCC rider in each grade if not in the top 3,  A – $250, B – $200, C – $150

Promotion / Demotion                                                                                                                                

1. A rider may voluntarily move up to the next grade or when he/she accumulates 20 points or has three wins in a grade                                                                                                                                                                                    

2. If a rider moves up a grade the maximum points they can take with them is one point less than the current third place rider in the higher grade                                   

EG. C grade rider Sandy Bagger wins 3 races gets promoted to B grade their point tally will be same as the B grade  3rd placed rider minus 1 point                                                                                                                           

3. Riders who are clearly in the wrong grade may be promoted / demoted at the discretion of the race committee.
