Looking for a positive, empowering way to get your child active and engaged? The Golden Horseshoe Cycling Hub (GHCH) was created with one goal in mind: to give youth in the Hamilton area the opportunity to thrive through cycling — no matter their starting point.
Founded in 2022, GHCH fills a critical gap in youth sport by offering structured cycling programs that are fun, supportive, and developmentally appropriate. Whether your child is brand new to the sport or showing an early competitive spark, GHCH offers a place to grow — as an athlete, and as a person.
At the centre of it all is The Hub — a welcoming clubhouse space where riders gather, connect, and launch into new experiences. Here, cycling isn’t just a sport — it’s a pathway to confidence, teamwork, and independence. Led by The Crew, a dedicated team of trained coaches and volunteers, GHCH provides hands-on mentorship, skill-building, and encouragement at every turn.
Through group rides, workshops, and youth-specific programming, GHCH teaches more than just how to ride a bike.
Kids learn:
- Safe cycling skills and group riding etiquette
- Bike handling and maintenance basics
- Goal setting, perseverance, and personal achievement
- Healthy habits and the joy of movement
- How to be part of a supportive team and inclusive community
