Youth track sessions at Lee Valley
The following message has been received from British Cycling…
We are pleased to announce that the next series of British Cycling Youth Track sessions at Lee Valley Velodrome are open to book.
Sessions are now live and available to book with the first session commencing on Thursday, 24 Apr 2025 at 7.00pm.
Further Information: The sessions are ideal for all Youth A, B & C or Junior riders aged 10-18 and are aimed at both riders new to the track and who are looking to gain LV Track league accreditation and for experienced accredited riders looking to practice race drills whilst gaining valuable track time in conjunction with attending British Cycling Talent Team Development sessions.
The sessions will continue to run with the existing format of two groups running each evening as follows:
New to Track/ Accreditation Group: Intended for riders new to, or recently new to track (non-accredited riders) to help progress towards Lee Valley Youth Track League ( LVYTL ) race acceptance. In these sessions, riders will gain practical experience through confidence building coached sessions riding on the indoor banked Olympic track whilst aiming towards gaining their track league accreditation.
Intermediate / Development Group: This group session is suitable for riders with track experience (accredited riders) to practice and gain experience in Racing formats and the skills needed in preparation to take part in Rider Development Sessions and LVYTL Events under the tutelage of experienced British Cycling track coaches. This is also a great opportunity to gain valuable indoor track time as we head towards the Omnium season.
