From Trails to Chili Pots: Celebrating Charlie’s Volunteer Service

Thank you, Charlie!

For the multitude of people who have run into Charlie Kohlmeier on the trail, you know how contagious his energy is. Charlie’s happy place is clearly on his bike and picking up a shovel — and he certainly doesn’t shy away from the hard tasks! As Volunteer Coordinator, Charlie dedicated his Board service to bringing that energy to so many volunteers as he supported our Local Stewardship Teams with scheduling and logistical support.

If you have had the opportunity to work on Charlie’s trail crew during a dig day, you likely have warmed up at the end of the day with a bowl of his delicious chili. The guy really knows how to treat his crew! We’re incredibly grateful Charlie will continue to be a key volunteer with NWTA, leading crews and dig days. Thank you, Charlie!
