2024 AGM & Awards Results
Saturday’s AGM & Awards was a huge success. It was great to see the club come together to celebrate our riders’ achievements over the past season with such a well attended event.
A big thank you to all our presenters for making it such a fun day, our volunteers for helping it to run smoothly, all of the cake makers, and to ex-PPYCC and Saint Piran rider Dylan Hicks who presented the awards to our aspiring young riders, as well as giving his time to answer some questions on life as pro-rider. We also had excellent raffle prizes on offer, including very generous vouchers provided by True Wheels.
A big well done to all of our award winners. Our 2024 club champions are all now listed on the Club Champions page. The remaining performance and coaches awards are all listed below. We saw lots of riders improve their skills this year and achieve great times on the distance challenge, with very many certificates given out. For those award winners who were unable to attend the presentations, we will find a way to get it to you in the weeks ahead and will be in touch soon.

The Committee page has also been updated with the committee details for the year ahead. Daisy stood down after years of excellent service as membership secretary and has been replaced by John. Claire, similarly, is leaving her position as Welfare Office to be replaced by Laura.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Mark Aberdour, who is stepping away from his role as Club Chair (but not the club itself) after five years of heading up PPYCC. Mark has been an incredible chair, having steered the club through the difficulties of COVID and then putting it back on a very firm footing. We presented Mark with a vintage Harry Hall track bike (as well as a liquid treat) by small way of thanks.
Mark leaves big shoes to fill. So big, in fact, that it is taking two people to fill them – Jack & Jessamy Hibberd are stepping into the role as co-chairs. Mark is going to move into an event organiser role with the club, so we hope to take advantage of his expertise for a few more years. Thanks Mark!
