Need to Purchase or Upgrade to a Race License?

0 3

Member Definition: Manitoba Cycling Members either have an annual General (non-racing) Membership or a Race License.  Memberships/Licenses are valid January 1 to December 31 and allow you to register/access races, events, clinics, club Activities, and member benefits.  As a member you also have General Liability and Sport Accident insurance for sanctioned activities.  We encourage all members to affiliate with a Cycling Club to ensure clubs can continue to bring to the cycling community all the events and activities our participants enjoy.

I would like to become an MCA Member!

  • Join the MCA here: https://ccnbikes.com/#!/memberships/manitoba-cycling-association-2024-annual-license-membership

I am a General (non-racing) member and would like to upgrade to a Race License!

  • Log into CCNbikes.com to access your account.
  • Enter your login and password.
  • Purchase either a Provincial Race License (if racing in Manitoba only) or a UCI Race License if racing both inside and outside of Manitoba.
  • CCN will charge your credit card the difference between the General Membership and the Race License you choose.

I have been purchasing single-event day permits to participate at races and have reached my 3-permit maximum and/or need a Race License to participate!

  • Purchase a Race License here: https://ccnbikes.com/#!/memberships/manitoba-cycling-association-2024-annual-license-membership
  • Provide single-event day permit receipts and your race license receipt to cycling.ed@sportmanitoba.ca for reimbursement.  MCA will etransfer the reimbursement of up to 3 day permits back to the email you provide.

About the single-event day permit!

  • The permit was created to introduce new participants to racing and support race organizers to increase participation at events.
  • Participants can purchase up to three single-event day permits per year. If they wish to continue racing, after the third permit, they are required to upgrade to an annual MCA Race license.
  • All single-event day permit holder must sign a waiver for each event they participate in. The organizing club is responsible for storing waivers or bringing the waivers into MCA office to store on their behalf. Waivers must be stored for 7 years.
  • The day permit is not a membership or license. It does not provide the participant with Sport Accident insurance.

Note: Non-member Walk-ups on Race Day

If you have not purchased your license online in advance to race day and the event is accepting licensed members only, you will be asked to purchase your race license and sign a waiver online thru ccnbikes.com using your phone.  Proof of your race license will need to be provided to the Commissaire at check-in.
