Offseason Transfers 2025: Pidders Polemica

0 4

With no due respect to the race in China, the season is over, the races are done but the transfer drama is still ongoing.

A breakdown in relations between the increasingly dysfunctional Ineos Grenadiers and their star rider Tom Pidcock means the Yorkshireman is almost certainly on the move in the next few months. He's reportedly on a lucrative long-term contract so there will need to be some negotiations about a buyout or settlement. Bora/Red Bull are the obvious destination given the rider's personal sponsorship. Astana and Q36.5 have also been linked, though it remains to be seen if Pidcock would be willing to drop down to ProConti level (the latter team already there, the former heading that way).

Other interesting recent transfers include Kasper Asgreen leaving Quickstep to join EF, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig joining Kazia Niewiadoma at Canyon/SRAM and Elisa Longo Borghini switching from Lidl-Trek to UAE.

One big move to be announced is the destination of Demi Vollering. Likely to be FDJ.
