Campus: New Video From Danny MacAskill

It’s Five Ten day (geddit?) and to mark the occasion Danny MacAskill has a new video out, riding all over the adidas (Five Ten) ‘Campus’. Who knew adidas had such a bonkers HQ in Germany?

It’s got all the classic Danny Mac stuff in it, creatively spread across different sports themed locations on the Campus. As ever, the video makes it look easy and doesn’t hint at the number of different efforts that it took to get the shot. Hopefully there’ll be a ‘making of’ follow-up film to give us some insight into all that. For now, enjoy…

Rumours are circulating that Danny has been banned from his local gym.
When you don’t get picked for the football team so you do your own thing
Didn’t get picked for pickleball either
When people leave those city bikes lying around all over the place and they get in the way…
Other front light mounts are available.
Some offices say toasters are a health and safety risk. This one has trampolines.
Can’t understand why he didn’t get picked for the football team.
Strong escape the zombia hoard vibe.
Even has his valves aligned. Ridiculous.
No diving, bombing, heavy petting, or bikes.
Look at that awesome bike parking facility. And, oh yes, there’s Danny.
The lengths people go to for a selfie these days.

Mountain bike and street trials athlete Danny MacAskill has been with adidas Five Ten for over a decade and made numerous trips to the global HQ for team meets and product testing, but this time was different. After seeing the huge potential the campus had, Danny made the exclusive facilities in Herzogenaurach the canvas for a session like never before. The result?  His latest street trials masterpiece.

Being an employee at adidas comes with a lot of perks. An obvious benefit is the adidas campus, with its one-of-a-kind facilities, unique architecture and world class athletes going in and out every day. Next to open spaces, break-out and picnic areas you can find sports and training facilities. These areas are designed to enhance teamwork, creativity and work-life balance but also to prepare for sports events around the world. Only this year Olympians, international rugby stars as well as the German national football team have trained on the campus.

The adidas campus is a place for hard work and developing market leading products but it has also been designed to inspire and ignite creativity. And when it comes to creativity, no athlete has pushed the boundaries in the way that Danny MacAskill has in his latest project. 15 years after Inspired Bicycles, the project that made Danny MacAskill a household name overnight, Danny still doesn’t hold back. This time, however, the World of Sport campus is the playground and canvas for his style and creativity. His tricks are perfectly dialed in – effortless style paired with constant progression.

Tables, rails, rooftops, the gym and many more facilities become his natural playground and of course, Danny’s signature style ending to this four-minute edit, launching a flat drop front flip from over 10 meters into the campus lake.

“The first time I visited the campus I immediately started riding the place in my mind. Riding all the rooftops, riding all the railings, you know, it’s a really interesting space. As soon as you see that kind of big overhanging piece of architecture or whatever, you immediately imagine the different things you could do up there. So, it was cool to finally get to come here to actually do it.” – Danny MacAskill, adidas Five Ten Athlete

The adidas campus is place for leading innovation and sporting excellence, developing products that enable the world’s best athletes to perform at the very highest level possible. Throughout the project, Danny put the new Five Ten Freerider Pro BOA through its paces, the latest in adidas Five Ten footwear innovation that will be available to mountain bikers to get their hands on from 2025.
