Reconciliation Day Ride: September 30, 2024!
We are proud to announce that on September 30th, we will again lead a Truth & Reconciliation Day Ride.
Please join us at Songhess Park (beside the Delta Hotel).
At 10AM Diane Sam, of Songhees First Nation and Eddy Charlie of Cowichan Tribes, will talk about the impact of residential schools and the land we live and play on.
This ride will be parade-style, using the full road, with Victoria Police providing an escort and closing the road off to automobile traffic. We should arrive at the South Island Powwow at Royal Athletic Park at noon.
The Locker Bike Valet will be at the Powwow, free as always.
This ride is in honour of residential school survivors and their families and
is in partnership with Victoria Orange Shirt Day.
This ride is kindly supported by WestUrban Developments Ltd.
