Sports Science Blog Series

This month, Normand Richard is continuing the bi-monthly sports science blog series with a post investigating caffeine for sprint and endurance track cycling performance. If you didn’t catch July’s edition on wearables for tracking body temperature you can check it out here. As always, you can find all editions on the News page or go straight to the latest one at the link below.

September Schedule

Learn To Race

If you’re new to track racing, we’ve got you covered with several Learn to Race sessions this month. In these sessions, our coaches will teach you the essential skills for track racing and guide you through several mock races to ensure you’re ready for Friday Nights. You only need to complete one Learn to Race session to start racing, but you’re welcome to participate in as many sessions as you like. They’re a fantastic workout, and there’s always something new to learn!

When you join your first Friday Night Race after completing a Learn to Race session, you’ll start in the Novice category alongside other beginners. As you race, your skills and fitness will determine your progression through the categories where the sky is the limit, with our fastest “A” races often featuring appearances from members of the Canadian National Track Cycling Team.

Sunday Sessions

Sundays are back on September 8th and 16th. Sessions are not yet finalized but will be announced soon on Instagram and Facebook soon so keep your eyes peeled to make sure you don’t miss out on what we have planned.

That’s all for now, see you next month!
