Ontario Summer Games Recap

0 5

The City of London played host this past weekend to many different sport disciplines for the 2024 Ontario Summer Games. Ontario Cycling (OC) this year sanctioned a Hill Climb, Criterium, Time Trial and Road Race for Para athletes and Youth aged 13-18.

The event started with an opening ceremony similar to the Olympics for all athletes to participate in from all disciplines at Alumni Field

Day 1 had riders racing to the top in a Hill Climb at Spring Bank Park and as the skies turned the schedule for the day was pushed up having all athletes participating in the Criterium race with a few showers to cool them off from the 30-degree heat.

Day 2 and final event had a change location to Melville United Church for the Individual Time Trial and end with a Road Race.

Thank you to the City of London, Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Mann and Cycling Manager David Elyatt for all their hardwork and support.
