Capital Bike has a new Executive Director!

We are very pleased to welcome Colleen Sparks to the organization!

Colleen is excited to join the amazing team at Capital Bike to educate, advocate and celebrate cycling in our region. She comes to this role with a history of leading change initiatives at the local community and provincial scale. She has over 30 years of experience, across the not-for-profit sector, industry and the BC public sector. Within that time, she spent 18 years in progressively more senior leadership roles and successfully led two province-wide initiatives.

As Executive Director of Capital Bike, Colleen is excited to embark on implementing our Strategic Plan released in late 2023. She believes in the power of continuously improving and sustained public engagement – believing that through informed and interest-based dialogue we can achieve more together.

Underpinning her extensive background, Colleen has a passion for cycling. She is delighted to continue her work in the not-for-profit sector where she can contribute directly to the community she and her family have called home for twenty years. 

Colleen is the perfect fit for our growing organization. We know her experience and insight will help our dedicated team continue to excel.
