June and July Events

0 64

As we get into prime summer, NER has several longer events plus some new shorter options.

June 8 – Portland Daytrip 400k and Portland Express 200k: These are now classic NER rides that have gotten much press over the years. Both rides use the same coastal route from Woburn, MA to South Portland, ME where the control is a home of a generous volunteer. The 400k riders reverse direction and head back to Woburn via inland route which is a bit hillier and generally very low traffic. The 200k riders are done and can head into downtown Portland (~3 miles) and take the train back to the Woburn start or find other accommodations. Either way, it’s a lot of fun.

June 15th – Midcoast Maine 300k: Another Maine event! This route starts in Portland and transverses the coast and inland areas headed North. It’s a constantly rolling route but no hill is steep.

June 29th – White Mountain Getaway 600k: NER’s longest event in 2024. This route starts in Woburn, MA, passes over the Kancamagus and has an overnight near Portland before heading back to Woburn.

July 13th – Providence 100k: After three events in Maine, we’re heading back south to Providence, RI for a 100k. More details available soon.
