NWTA Elections Announcement

Are you a volunteer with the NWTA and seeking something more? Do you have leadership experience, or maybe you would like to take a step into a decision making role for the first time? 

The NWTA has a board of directors that are elected annually each January.  Each position has a tenure of two years. The Board is responsible for oversight, strategic planning, and financial management of the organization. Board members are to be leaders, ambassadors, and advocates for every member of the NWTA. Board members are familiar with the trail networks, operations, and livelihood of the mission statement and Bylaws of the organization. Ideal candidates have lived experiences working with diversity in race, age, gender, sexual orientation, abilities, and economic background. We are particularly seeking experience and expertise in the following areas: 

-Implementing diversity, equity and inclusion steps in an organization

-Accounting and financial literacy

-Previous board experience

-Fundraising/grants

-Strategic decision making skills

-Technology skills

-Mountain biking advocacy

If you are interested in serving on the NWTA Board of Directors, there are some expectations that are required. There is a nomination process for each candidate, and an online webinar that can be shared with more information. December 10th Applications are due

December 21st Voting starts

January 21st Ballot Closes. 

January 23rd Election! Results will be announced online the following day.
