Neck Rest & Flaf For Recumbent Bike?

I'm still awaiting my Giro A20. Wondering how many of you use a neck rest on your bike? I see them on photos of trikes, so just thinking about the ergonomics of using one on a recumbent bike? The same with flags - see them mostly, but not exclusively on trikes.....

I don't want to go out and buy...
