Abhimanyu Mishra enters the FIDE top 100
Abhimanyu Mishra is now officially a FIDE top 100 player. The young US talent, who in 2021 became the youngest GM in chess history, is now at 2633.2 elo at 93rd position in the world.
Mishra has also gone up the junior standings and is now 7th, ahead of Pranav, Gurel, Mendoca, and Pranesh.
The rating jump for Mishra comes from the Fujairah Global – Superstars, where he added 8.8 elo, and the Grand Swiss, where he is on +13.4
Abhimanyu Mishra is currently at 2,5/3 at the FIDE Grand Swiss. The latest victim of his strong performance is Yu Yangyi (2726). Previously Mishra held to a draw Yakubboev (2681) and defeated Sarana (2686). Today is a big day for the young US player, as he meets World number 4 Praggnanandhaa R with the black pieces.
