Michael Adams is ECF English Champion 2025

Michael Adams is the winner of the 2025 ECF English Championship. After taking the early lead, Adams finished top of the table with 6,0/7, the same points as Nikita Vitiugov. The two played a tiebreak, where Adams prevailed 2,5 – 1,5.

I am used to extolling the incredible consistency of @MickeyAdamsGM – into his 50s but still so often victorious . Still, this latest victory in the @ecfchess Champs (after a tense play-off) was something else. Superb chess throughout, for me his finest since the 2023 Classic.
