The Warriors guard was named to the third team Wednesday

Before Wednesday, there have only been 25 players in the history of the NBA with double-digit All-NBA selections. Steph Curry just made it 26.

Curry led the league with 357 three-pointers this season, and almost won the free-throw percentage crown before Klay Thompson stole his title in the final game. He averaged 26.4 points and shot over 40% from behind the arc for the 13th time in his career.

He’s now the Golden State Warriors’ franchise leader in All-NBA selections, though he actually passed Rick Barry for that crown with his 7th All-NBA berth three years ago. Barry made it six times, Neil Johnston and Wilt Chamberlain made five All-NBA teams each, and Joe Fulks, Paul Arizin and Chris Mullin are in the four-timers club.

Curry got congratulatory messages from some other ten-time All-NBA players, including Dirk Nowitzki, who said he’s “Always been a fan” of the Baby-Faced Assassin.

He also got a message from Magic Johnson, who Curry just tied with ten selections. It’s highly appropriate, since the two are next to one another at the top of the all-time point guard rankings, and Curry just won his second Magic Johnson Award.

We hope this means that Curry will now be required to also tweet like Magic Johnson, responding to sporting events with enthusiastic summaries of results that could have been generated by a very upbeat AI bot. Alas, not yet.

Congratulations to Steph Curry! Let’s see if he can make it 11.
