Candidates Chess: Gukesh becomes youngest winner, to challenge for world title
India's 17-year-old Grandmaster D Gukesh made history by clinching victory at the Candidates Chess Tournament in Toronto, securing his place as the youngest challenger ever to the world title. Gukesh's remarkable performance saw him accumulate nine points out of a possible 14, ultimately setting the stage for a showdown with reigning world champion Ding Liren from China later this year.
