The Fagernes Open 2023 is played at the major Norwegian Chess Hotel Scandic Valdresat Fagernes, 187 km north of Oslo.Main organizer is Hans Olav Lahlum in cooperation with Innlandet Sjakkrets.
The tournament is taking place from 2-9 April 2023 in Fagernes, Norway. Players receive 100 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 40 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is 9-round Swiss system tournament with participation of Max Moe Pedersen, Linus Sandstad, Tim R Spanton, Sigurd Kittilsen, Karim Ali, Dag Andersen, Rafe Rehman, Sondre Stai, Jiabao Eivind Ji, etc.
