BREAKING NEWS – Rishi and the World Cadets Chess Championships 22!
Congratulations to Rishi Vijayakumar J10 who is playing in the FIDE World Cadets Chess Championships 2022 taking place between 15th to 28th Sept 22 at the Euphoria Hotel in Batumi, Georgia on the Black Sea coast!
This is an 11 round event with six sections, with Rishi playing in the under 12`s section!

The FIDE World Cadets Chess Championships 2022, a tournament organized by FIDE, the Georgian Chess Federation and the Georgian Chess Club “64”, will take place in Batumi, Georgia from September 15-28, 2022. The championships will be held in three age groups – Under 8, 10, 12 and 2 sections – open and girls (totally 6 tournaments).
All the competitions will be 11-round Swiss tournaments with the time control 90 minutes for each player plus 30 seconds per move starting from move one. Default time is 15 minutes.
What an honour! What a venue! What a lucky laddie! We at Castlehill are so proud of Rishi already and what he has achieved so far and we all wish him well in the World Cadets Chess Championship!
