Tim Upton Memorial Tournament
On Saturday 22 June an invitational tournament to honor the memory of Gambit Bonnevoie I captain Tim Upton will take place in Foyer Européen, Luxembourg. The tournament is being organized by our club and the Chess club of the EU Institutions.
Among the invited players, GM Arakhamia-Grant and IM Pritchett from Scotland, Gambit’s GM Hoffmann and two of the best players in Luxembourg, IM Berend (Dudelange) and IM Wiedenkeller (Echternach).
A book of the most remarkable games by Tim Upton, annotated by Gambit top players, will be made available to the participants of our traditional barbecue on 23 June.
