Ken Regan on Mark Glickman

Statistician Mark Glickman is best known in the chess world for his work on ratings: he has been the chairman of the US Chess ratings committee since 1992, and among other contributions is at least partially responsible for the Universal Rating System used in the Grand Chess Tour. He has done some other interesting work outside of chess as well, including some work detecting which parts of various Beatles songs were (probably) composed by John Lennon and which by Paul McCartney.
