IM Tin tied 1st in Asian Hybrid Individuals

0 6
Our National Champion IM Tin JingYao won the Asian Hybrid Individual Championships with Uzbekhistan’s Shamsidin Vokhidov, ahead of several higher rated names like GMs Parham Maghsoodloo, Lu ShangLei and 18 other GMs in a field of 82 players from 15 countries. Tin tied with 7 / 9 pts with a performance rating of 2617, beating Iranian GMs Ghaem Maghami Elsan and Parham which would have garnered a GM norm but sadly no title norms are awarded for hybrid competitions.
The tournament was supervised by technical arbiter Siew Kai Xin with local chief arbiter Nisban Jasmin.
