Serrano signs lifetime deal with MVP
Amanda Serrano inked a deal with Jake Paul’s promotional company that will take her past her fighting career.
Amanda Serrano will formally be attached to Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions company for a long time to come, with the Puerto Rican champion agreeing to a lifetime deal that will not only include the rest of her professional fighting career, but also as a chairwoman of the company’s women’s boxing initiatives.
In the latter role she will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and cultivating the talent of MVP’s female athletes.
“Signing this lifetime deal with MVP means I can continue fighting - not just in the ring, but for the next generation of women in combat sports,” Amanda Serrano said in a statement to ESPN.
As a professional fighter Serrano is most recently coming off a hotly debated decision loss to Katie Taylor in last November’s rematch while appearing on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson. Their fight was reportedly watched by 50 million households.
With MVP, Serrano hopes to realize her vision of female fighters garnering equal pay, rounds, and respect as to their male counterparts as she looks to make a lasting impact beyond her own career.
