Penguins vs. Capitals 2017 live stream: Start time, TV channel, and how to watch NHL playoffs online
It’s judgement day for the Washington Capitals.
Alex Ovechkin and company have endured years of regular season success followed by playoff disappointment. But none will match the kind they’ll face if they lose in Game 5 on Saturday to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Penguins have lost Kris Letang, Matt Murray and Sidney Crosby over the last month. No loss has kept them from riding up a 3-1 lead over Washington, who simply need the best possible games out of stars Alex Ovechkin, Braden Holtby and Kevin Shattenkirk.
Washington is splitting up its lines to find offense. Ovechkin could play on the third line with Lars Eller and Tom Wilson, while Andre Burakovsky could take Ovechkin’s usual place alongside Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie.
The starting goalies will be Marc-Andre Fleury for Pittsburgh and Holtby for Washington.
