Did you hear? Cleveland is reportedly a hotspot for NBA players

Cleveland is now sitting pretty at the cool kid's table

Winning is the best promotion of a team's culture. At least that appears to be the case for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Well, if Joakim Noah is out there somewhere, reading this Cavaliers fan site post, it appears that Cleveland does have a draw after all. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst went on ESPN Cleveland Radio and discussed the allure Cleveland currently has with players around the league.

Windy states how he has had multiple agents tell him “Their clients want to play in Cleveland” and that “the way that [Cleveland] is playing is being very well received” amongst players in the league.

This is a unique time for the Cavaliers. Even in their best of LeBron-tenured years, this was a tall task to recruit players to move to Cleveland. As Joakim stated so kindly, Cleveland has never been a hot destination for the common man, never mind the superstar millionaires of the NBA. It appears that blazing through the regular season playing dominant and ethical basketball has been enough to garner the league's attention.

While hearing rumors like this are nice food for thought, the offseason is a long way away. The Cavaliers are not in a situation demanding the inclusion of more help from outside their current roster. While it’s easy to think who is the biggest fish they could hook in, looking far ahead won’t allow you to see what’s right in front of you. They’re also in a cap situation that doesn’t allow them to easily add outside help.

What the Cavaliers have right now works. The solutions one could think of are more tune-ups to a well-oiled machine instead of missing cogs. The Cavaliers currently are 33-5 and are on pace for a 70+ win season. Why get wrapped up in hypotheticals when the Cavaliers are excelling and on a historic run?

That being said, it is nice that the Cavaliers are getting the appropriate love both from the national media and the players/agents in the league.
