Horschel won best dressed for the week at The Open. Who else made the list? Here are the 3 best and worst dressed golfers.

The Open Championship is officially over as Xander Schauffele is the Champion Golfer of the Year.

However, did he land on either the best or worst-dressed list?

Regardless of the conditions, many players wore some fantastic outfits while others missed the mark.

As we did after Friday’s round, we provided the three best and three worst-dressed players to do something fun for The Open.

Remember, golf fashion is subjective. No answer is correct; it is all about the person's perspective. Some people will like the worst-dressed looks, while others will hate some of the best-dressed options.

These six were hand-picked by me, the Playing Through golf fashion expert.

The ratings are for the overall week, not just the outfit highlighted, so keep that in mind. The one presented, though, is my favorite.

Let’s get into The Open Championship's three best and worst-dressed players.

Best-dressed players from the Open Championship:

3. Daniel Brown

Daniel Brown was the Cinderella story of the 152nd Open Championship. He stayed on this list for his Friday outfit and consistency throughout the week.

I still cannot get his puffy vest off my mind. Mixing the two textures was so appealing to the eye.

Brown lost points because, by the final round, it felt dull — still fashionable, but nonetheless, boring.

Rating: 8/10 for the week

2. Justin Rose

Justin Rose sits No. 2 on the best-dressed list. He brought something every single day, but after seeing his burgundy pullover on Sunday, he stayed put in his ranking. The only thing I wish was different for him on Sunday would be the fabric of the pullover. It looked like a performance fabric, but it would have been perfect if it were knit.

His Nike shoes go with everything and I love that trendy touch to his classic style.

Rating: 9.5/10

1. Billy Horschel

Billy Horschel may have finished runner-up on the leaderboard, but in terms of style, he is No. 1. The cardigan paired with the dark navy pants and striped polo was a fantastic choice for Sunday. RLX tailored the cardigan to his body perfectly, automatically making it a top-rated fit.

I like the stripe polo under it because it adds a touch of texture and makes it a little more trendy. The white shoes and navy hat pull it all together.

His rain gear look on Saturday was also a vibe.

Only Certain people can pull off the backward hat look, and Horschel is one of them. This week may be about tradition, but turning that hat around makes the rain gear look cooler.

I would not change a thing about his scripting this week for The Open, except maybe throw in a pink or red to spice it up. Regardless, it was a perfect fashion week for Horschel.

3. Xander Schauffele

Xander Schauffele won the tournament, but it seems he wears the same thing every week. This all-black look is not terrible, but it could fit him better, and the white stripes on the shoes throw me off.

It wasn't very interesting all week, but Schauffele is not huge into fashion. I would love to see him in a light blue or green. Those colors would look fantastic on his skin tone and much better than the neutrals he continuously wears.

Rating: 5/10

2. Thriston Lawrence

Thriston Lawrence is another who did not look bad but made some odd choices. His Sunday fit would have been on the best-dressed list if he had paired it with navy pants. The purple with the gray pants clashed, and it washed out the pullover. Those two colors technically go together, but there are ways to make it better.

The grey PING hat was also all wrong. Lawrence should have worn a navy or black hat instead. The light gray just made it bland.

Rating: 4/10

1. Robert MacIntyre

After Robert MacIntyre’s fits on Thursday and Friday, I did not think the patterns could get worse, but they did. Saturday’s feather pattern was so ugly. Thank goodness he wore the neutral gray and black outfit on Friday because that looked better than the first three days combined.

I do not understand why Nike put him in those polos, but they should not have. No one should wear them. MacIntyre is young, and his style should reflect that. Let’s put him in something else, Nike, because the young man now has two PGA Tour wins under his belt and deserves better scripting.
