Surrey Champs this Sunday – volunteers wanted!
This Sunday 19th May, GAC are hosting the Surrey Senior County Target Championships 2024. It’s a World Record Status WA1440 shoot, attracting the best archers in Surrey and beyond, and there is plenty to do both in advance and on the day.
This tournament is also the first time that we as a club will be using the PDA electronic IANSEO scoring system. So we will need additional resources to help with any scoring equipment issues.
In summary it will be all hands on deck on the day – and we could really use your help!

Here are the details:
Come and help on Saturday 18th May
4:00pm – 6:00pm
We will need to set up the field on the Saturday, which includes marking up the shooting and target lines. If you’ve ever wondered how to set up a world record archery field, now is your chance to find out!
Come and help on Sunday 19th May
> Morning session: 7:30am – 12:30pm
WRS tournaments start early, with competing archers arriving from 8am onwards. So set the alarm!
Set Up
• Putting judging tent & table on waiting line
• Putting out direction signs
• Assisting with car parking
• Putting out bins
• Helping set up booking-in table
• Putting up target faces
