Wow!!!! South Sudan Nearly Upsets Team USA

What a game to remember for the Bright Stars

South Sudan just came within a whisker of upsetting the mighty Team USA in an exhibition game in London. The Bright Stars had the lead in the closing seconds before Lebron James hit a driving layup to put the US up 101-100.

South Sudan got the ball in and got a good shot off which just didn’t go down. The follow up also didn't go and the US got away with a win they probably didn't deserve.

In fact, it was almost impossible NOT to pull for South Sudan in this one. That program is brand new. The country is still emerging from a devastating war. Basketball is just an afterthought.

Well it was. Not now. That was an astonishing performance, a historic outing by the Bright Stars who now have to be taken much more seriously in Paris. We’ll have more on this a bit later.
