UAlbany basketball 'grateful' to be together on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time to be together, and after 22 days the University at Albany basketball players have been reunited.
The Great Danes hadn't been on the court since Nov. 2, first because a "presumptively positive" COVID-19 test from someone associated with the team, and later due to a campus-wide pause that suspended all athletic activity.
The reins were removed Wednesday night, when both the men's and women's teams returned to practice.
"Our guys were grateful," men's coach Will Brown said late Thursday afternoon, moments before his Danes were about to embark on their second session since the pause. "It was a good practice. For not having practiced in that long, our guys were focused, and they practiced well.”
