[Men's Basketball] Bearcats add size to recruiting class

0 7

The Brescia Men's Basketball program has received commitments from 6'7" Hezekiah Livings from Houston, TX, Jeremy Kambomba 6'8" transfer from Iowa Central, and transfer Daniel Modi 6'4" wing from Mesabi CC (MN).  Livings was voted his high school's team offensive MVP and will bring the Bearcats an athletic rebounder that can also rim protect and bring a physical brand of basketball with him.  Kambomba is a junior college transfer from Iowa.  Kambomba is an excellent rebounder that runs the court extremely well.  Jeremy is a shot blocker that enjoys protecting the rim and can get out in transtion.  He can face up and knock down the jumper shooting 55% last season for Iowa Central, but he is very active on the offensive boards as well.  Modi is a junior college transfer that can play multiple positions and is very athletic in attacking the rim offensively.  Modi played in a very competitive NJCAA Divison III league in Minnesota and is a very good on the ball defender. Head Coach Brian Skortz comments," These three players will help us on both ends of the floor but in particular they will help our defense.  We needed to get some guys in here to help us defensively rebouding, rim protection, and on the ball pressure.  All three have great length and size and run the floor extremely well which fits our system well."
