Traffic advisory for Pedal, Paddle, and Run triathlon

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Schenectady County has released a traffic advisory With the Pedal, Paddle, Run Triathlon taking place Saturday at 8 a.m. The event will start and end at the Aqueduct Park in Niskayuna.

Drivers in the area should know participants will be running and biking on city streets and are asked to use extreme caution.

Schenectady County says all traffic will be closed from Balltown Road until the Maxon Road Extension between 7 a.m. and roughly 11 a.m. Traffic will be rerouted at Maxon Road & Van Vranken Avenue, Balltown Road, and Aqueduct Road by police.

Local traffic on North End Drive, Sara Court, Saint Jean Place, and Anthony Street will be
rerouted toward Technology Drive and only allowed to cross the route at the police/flagger’s
discretion. Local traffic on South Ravine Road, North Ravine Road, and Napa Court will be rerouted to Banker Avenue.

Aqueduct Road will be reopened to local traffic only (southbound) after the last rider has
completed the biking portion of the event (approximately 8:45 a.m.). Aqueduct Road from the
Empire State Trail access point to the traffic circle will remain closed until approximately 11:00
a.m.
