Gardner-Webb transfer Jose Perez cuts list to five

Jose Perez, the 6-foot-5 sophomore guard from Gardner-Webb, has cut his list to five schools.
Perez, who averaged 15.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists, is down to Memphis, Georgia Tech, Marquette, Illinois and Iowa State.
He cut New Mexico, BYU, Minnesota, St. John’s and DePaul.
He hopes to decide next week.
“[I am] just weighing everything out with the people in my corner, especially coach Munch [Terrance] Williams [of the PSA Cardinals].”
