That’s what ESPN is saying
According to ESPN, Alex O’Connell, seeking more playing time, is entering the transfer portal.
Under the current NCAA rules, that would mean he would sit out for a full season (if he’s not graduating early) and if you ever had to pick a year to do that, like Georgia Tech opting to skip potential post-season play this year when they weren’t going anywhere anyway, this is a good year to do it.
Of course that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll go yet. We’ll have to wait and see what happens. Regardless, he’s been good for Duke and we’re sure he’ll do well wherever he plays.
