Best Returning ACC Three Point Shooters
With some caveats
More than usual, expect past performance shooting 3-pointers to be a bit deceptive. Because the line has been moved back, some returning leaders may find they’re no longer as comfortable trying threes in 2019-20 as they were previously, and/or not as accurate as they were.
Still, it’s our practice to list the most proficient bombardiers even if the official statistical barometer leaves them unseen or uncertainly measured.
A few unusual stories involve the returning leaders. UNC senior Brandon Robinson, the top holdover 3-point marksman, has been a career backup who excels defensively in spot duty. Now he brings perimeter experience to a young backcourt corps.
FSU’s Devin Vassell and Virginia Tech’s Isaiah Wilkins were impressive as freshmen, and should enjoy significantly more opportunity with the departure of more veteran teammates.
Georgia Tech guard Michael Devoe helped lead the Jackets to a 4-0 record on a summer trip to Spain.
The loss of Rex Pfleuger to a knee injury was a key early blow to Notre Dame’s efficiency and experience last season. He’s now a red-shirt senior.
And NC State’s Markell Johnson, not the steadiest light, is the only returning 3-point marksman from among last year’s leaders.
