[Men's Basketball] MBB: UAV Battling Through Demanding Schedule
The Week of Nov. 5 - 11 in Review
Talk about tough schedules. After playing on the road for two weeks to open the season, Antelope Valley returned home for its opener and lost a nail-biter to Vanguard, 73-72. Following a great run into the NAIA National Championship last year, the Pioneers opened the 2018 season with road exhibitions against Cal State Northridge and the University of Portland, and they stayed in Portland to play No. 23 Warner Pacific and lost by nine. Next came three (far) away games in Alaska, where UAV went up against NCAA Division II Alaska-Anchorage twice and Alaska-Fairbanks once, all losses of nine points or fewer. Next on the schedule was another exhibition, this time at Cal State Bakersfield before returning the Lancaster, Calif., to play Vanguard the next night.
