Runner tries to pull race leader down by his pants, falls over hilariously

Womp womp.

Now here’s something you don’t see every day.

This pants-grabbing fiasco happened during the men’s 5000m final at the Diamond Track and Field Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland. The race leader had just gained the lead when his competitor grabbed a big ol’ handful of shorts and tried to keep him in place.

Call it karma, or whatever you want — but he couldn’t bring down his opponent. Instead he topped to the ground hilariously, in a format that deserves a rendition in yakety sax.
