[Women's Lacrosse] Indiana Tech Wins Women's Lacrosse Title

0

Indiana Tech stormed through the 2018 Women's Lacrosse season with a perfect 6-0 league record to capture its fourth Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular-season championship. The fifth-ranked Warriors tied for the title in 2014 and 2016 and won the inaugural title in 2013. With four teams in the top 10 of the NAIA National Ratings, the WHAC sports a tough conference schedule. IT averaged 17.56 goals per game, good enough for sixth on the national stat list.

The regular season ended in a three-way tie for second place between Lawrence Tech, Siena Heights, and Aquinas - all with a 4-2 league record. Lourdes, Madonna, and Concordia rounded out the standings. Next season, Bethel (Ind.) joins the league for women's lacrosse along with current member Rochester adding the sport to bring the total number of teams to nine.
