What every team should do in the OffSeason: Part 2
Dallas Mavericks: Viciously pursue Julius Randle
Julius Randle has been having the best year of his short career this season and will be entering free agency as an unrestricted free agent. With the Lakers trying to actively pursue superstars who want max contracts, it might be a little difficult for them to keep Randle if another team throws large money at him. That team could be the Dallas Mavericks who is in need of a young growing star with their franchise player Dirk Nowitzki on his way out. Randle is a hometown kid from Dallas but who knows if he is willing to return home.
Sacramento Kings: Stabillity in the Front Office
The Kings are known to be the worst front office in the league. Though they have some really good young talent like De'Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield, there's no real direction the Kings can go in because of the terrible balance their FO has.
Memphis Grizzlies: Is Tyreke worth it?
The Memphis Grizzlies turned from one of the most underrated teams in the NBA to without a doubt one of the worst. With Mike Conley mostly out for the season and Marc Gasol dealing with his own injuries, the Grizzlies has had no real talented players except Tyreke Evans. But Evans has been subjected to many trade talks through the entire season and while he's on a one year deal, the Grizzlies will have to decide if it's right to keep him.
New York Knicks: Select Trae Young in the Draft
When Carmelo Anthony left the Knicks, there has been a lack of talent and we'll aswell as backcourt shooting to surround Kristaps Porzingis. With the Knicks almost guaranteed to have a high pick in next year's draft, the biggest option they should look at is Oklahoma's Trae Young who has drawn some comparisons to Stephen Curry. The Knicks do not have a clear starter at point guard (Trey Burke, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jarrett Jack, Frank Ntilkina).
Boston Celtics: Pursue Lou Williams
The Celtics is a team who is in clear contention for another NBA title while having Kyrie Irving as their leader. With young talent like Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, Al Horford as their vet and Gordon Hayward will return next year. The only thing the Celtics need is a certified scorer off the bench to get over the hump and who else but Lou Williams? Williams is on his final year of his contract with the Clippers and he has been subjected to multiple trade rumors.
New Orleans Pelicans: Keep those Kentucky boys together
DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis are two of the best big men in the league but only Cousins has the decision to make this offseason. The Pelicans should do whatever they can to make sure Cousins continues to love New Orleans and playing with the Brow. When Cousins went down with his injury, many believe that New Orleans will be out of the playoff race but with the improved MVP like play of Anthony Davis and the improvements of Rajon Rondo and Jrue Holiday, the Pelicans have stayed in the hunt.
Detroit Pistons: See what you can get for Stanley Johnson
Stanley Johnson's development with the Pistons has been a rather inconsistent one. He's still one of the premiere defenders in the league for his age but there hasn't been much progress on the other end. The Pistons now have Blake Griffin to pair with Andre Drummond, what they need now is a good 3 and D player. Perhaps they could trade Johnson for someone like DeMarre Carroll in Brooklyn or Tyreke Evans in Memphis.
Phoenix Suns: Devin Booker needs help
The Suns have a clear star in the making in Devin Booker but not alot to surround him. While Josh Jackson is a fantastic piece to have, it is gonna be some time before he becomes a legit player. Going down the rest of the Suns roster: Marquess Chriss? He's okay. Tyler Ulis? Decent player off the bench. TJ Warren? A nice role player. And Dragan Bender? With some more development he can be a solid role player.
Portland Trail Blazers: Go after Carmelo Anthony
More fire power couldn't hurt for the Trail Blazers? When you have Damian Lillard and C.J McCollum as your main fire power, you can use some more help at the forward spots. Carmelo Anthony is not what he once was back in New York and Denver but he's still a serviceable scorer anyway we look at it, which is what we are seeing in Oklahoma City.
