[Men's Basketball] Threshers End 2017 With Huge Win over NCAA DIII Concordia

HOUSTON, Texas - Everything is bigger in Texas, and that could not be more of a true statement for the Bethel men's basketball team after their thrilling 81-79 knockout earlier today. Their opponent was Concordia University, a NCAA Division III program in Texas, who came into the game with an 8-3 overall record. Bethel was in town to participate in a tourney hosted by St. Thomas, who they had lost to the previous night 78-73. The MVP over the two days had to be Chase Banister (SR/Douglass, Kan.), who let it rain with back-to-back 26 point games. After the tight matchup with the Celtics on Friday, they rode Banister's hot-hand against Concordia. They took the wind out of the Tornadoes at the buzzer, as Terrell Marshall (SO/Tulsa, Okla.) put up a floater to clinch the victory in regulation.
