Chiefs vs. Raiders live stream: How to watch 'Thursday Night Football' online
Can Kansas City bounce back from its first loss of the season in this Week 7 AFC matchup?
The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season last weekend against the Steelers and are now heading to California to take on the should-be-better-than-they-are Raiders. Oakland quarterback Derek Carr’s back is reportedly back to 100 percent and will look to pick up the momentum from Weeks 1 and 2 on Thursday Night Football when they play at 8:25 p.m. ET on NFL Network and CBS (live stream).
Despite regaining Carr last weekend against the Chargers, the Raiders still ended up losing by a single point, leaving them 2-4 heading into this Week 7 AFC matchup. Oakland’s offense has struggled the past few weeks. In addition to Carr’s injury, it had Michael Crabtree nursing an injury, and Amari Cooper being surprisingly useless downfield.

Chiefs vs. Raiders news:
- Oh, look. The Chiefs signed C.J. Spiller again.
- Oakland has a few key players still sidelined with injuries heading into Week 7, but it did bring in a veteran linebacker to add some depth to the roster.
- Kansas City only had one practice before this Thursday night matchup, but it still released injury news throughout the week.
There are a few other notable names on the injury report, including RB Kareem Hunt and WR Tyreek Hill. Hunt is popping up here for the first time but practiced in full while Tyreek was dinged in last Sunday’s game but appears to be OK.
- The Raiders spent a lot of the offseason focusing on boosting their secondary, but after six weeks, still have yet to record an interception on defense.
Only two other teams in NFL history have had zero interceptions at this point in the season.
- Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton spoke about his defense’s struggle to contain Pittsburgh's Le’Veon Bell during their Week 6 loss.
We definitely have to play better run defense. We understand that. We have to tackle better. All those things have to happen if we want to improve on defense, so that’s big for us, but hey, they’re a tough matchup and they did a great job too.
Chiefs vs. Raiders predictions:
Despite Oakland looking like the team to beat earlier in the season, the Chiefs have all the weapons to not only rebound from their first loss of the season, but to learn from their mistakes and improve. Kansas City walks away 6-1. Almost all of our experts agree in their Week 7 picks.
