BYU Rob Wright withdraws from transfer portal, returns to the program
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
One of BYU’s biggest pieces from the 2025-26 season is staying put.
BYU guard Rob Wright will return to the Cougars next season, per On3.
The 6-foot-1 guard had a breakout season, averaging 18.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4 6 assists per game for Kevin Young’s squad.
The Cougars have already had a busy offseason, securing Syracuse transfer Tyler Betsey and Kentucky transfer Collin Chandler to pair with a 2026 class headlined by five-star prospect Bruce Branch III.
Securing Rob Wright as the team’s lead guard is a big move for a team with a lot of incoming talent.
