Week 7 college football rankings: The new Top 25s, as soon as they come out

0

We’re collecting the major top-25s right here, as they’re released. If it’s not listed here, it’s not out yet.

Week 6 brought one major upset (Iowa State over Oklahoma), another big one that wasn’t all that shocking given recent history (Michigan State over Michigan), and a handful of other interesting results. Washington State kept looking like an elite team in a win at Oregon. Alabama didn’t blow out Texas A&M but was businesslike in another win. Clemson, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Washington, and Auburn all had nice wins. Miami finally beat Florida State.

We’re getting deeper into conference play now, and the stakes will only get higher from here. The first College Football Playoff selection committee rankings don’t come out until Halloween, and until then, the best barometer we have is the AP Top 25. No rankings really matter until the committee’s, but the rankings here can give us a good sense of where everybody stands before things get extra serious.

The rankings we’re featuring here, as soon as each one releases:
